Home.

Our move in September was a bit of a whirlwind. To say the least.
We put our house on the market not expecting to sell so quickly.
The buyer walked in a week later. We closed about 1.5 months after the house was on the market. Amazing. Answered prayers.
We moved in with my parents 4 hours away, which was 1.5 hours from our new church. Also I was 8 months pregnant and the doctor I used with Noah was in that area. It made sense and we are so thankful that the Lord orchestrated us to be able to move in with my parents. To use the same doctor. Later we would realize just how God designed & life saving this move was.

We planned to rent a two bedroom apartment for a year. God had other plans. Better ones.
We got a call while in the hospital after Olivia was born that there was a house someone wanted to rent in our church to us. It was perfect timing to be getting that call. Olivia was having some complications and we were feeling discouraged. The idea of renting a home instead of an apartment was a reminder from the Lord that he was taking care of us.
After Olivia was born we moved to Houston. The Lord provided this beautiful home for us to rent. We were not at a place to buy again because of everything going on with me. It would have been way too much. We actually moved into our new place a few days before we closed on our home in Longview.

We have now been in our home since mid October.
We are blown away by the provision of the Lord with this home.
Plenty of room for Noah to RUN! Play. Great driveway to ride his bike. There is a pool. Quiet neighborhood in Houston is rare. Plus its lovely & all of our things fit perfectly.

The move has brought on some heart ache for our little Noah. He often ask when we are going home. Back to his garden. His room. Its provided the opportunity for us to explain to him that our home is not a house.
Its a place where we are all together.
I've enjoyed having more energy to get back outside with Noah. Now Olivia too. Its been wonderful.
Excited for spring to arrive. Johnny is making me a table to put out the yard to paint at.
The Lord never fails to surprise me. His faithfulness is truly unbelievable all of the time.
Even in the hard times.
He is faithful.

Oh the Lovelies, (Thanks Pinterest)

If you follow me on Pinterest you might have been noticing all of the lovely pins lately. If you have been to our home you know that we have a bit of a cottage feel going on. We love older pieces of furniture that we have redone & repurposed, barn wood used for headboards & shelving units, we love whites & soft pastels but with some pop of teal here & there. It really makes us happy. So lately, I've been getting inspired via pinterest to tackle the guest room/future nursery (no I'm not pregnant) our back porch, and we need ideas for our den that is a little too dark for me. Also, there are a few extra lovely things I've pinned.

Enjoy them with me .....
Okay, so if you know me pretty well you know that I've developed a slight obsession with campers. pretty, sweet, lovely little campers. Such as this one one above. I want to open a little shop in a camper such as this one above. to sell baked goods, yummy food, jewelry, hoops, and journals.
I am in love with this piece of furniture above & the one below. I would love either of these for the awkward little space in our kitchen or for guest room. They would both be perfect. The colors & everything they are filled with.
simply in love with all the goodness that is this hutch.
Would be incredible to have everything it is filled with.
Oh this piano is just perfect for our sitting/music room. It really would go perfectly under our DIY shelves. Our sitting room has a vintage record player console, bongos, guitars, and a trombone. Pretty sure a piano would make it come together nicely. Love this one. The colors, plates, & seat, perfect. We have been looking for a a piano for the last few months, but don't have much of a budget to spend on one so the hunt is still on! I'm really wanting to start playing again.
Don't you just want to sit here & read for an hour or so?
I do.

I would say this is probably my dream location to relax, read, pray, journal, have coffee, and enjoy the day!
(couldn't locate orignal source for this picture)

I love floating around on Pinterest
& looking at all the lovely things.
A lot of my pins were found via my cousin Krystal's Pinterest Boards here. She also blogs here & here.

This was a fun post for me.
Hope you enjoyed all the lovely things here.

Nice to be Home (Hard to Leave)

The last two weeks were filled with tons of craziness from these two kids above & loads of sweetness from
the little guy below.

My brother & Noah had fun hanging out together too. Robert Kyle is pretty impressive with his baby skills.
Noah was spoiled rotten the last two weeks by grammy & campy. He loved every minute of it & it was really hard to leave. My dad is doing better. He has been recovering the last month from surgery & is slowly getting around better.  I had such a great time hanging out with family & seeing some old friends while out of town but it is nice to be back in my home & with my man. It is hard to be so far away from family but I am so grateful for the nearly 2 weeks with them. Looking forward to coffee tonight with some ladies & other fun things this week. That is if I can shake this silly cold that wont leave me alone the past 2 days.
This morning I laid down next to this little boy to play heligiboos as my 2 year old calls them (helicopters) and choo choos with him. He is so precious. Pretty sure he knows I'm not feeling too hot because he kinda just let me lay down & he did most of the playing today.
Johnny came home from lunch & then took Noah back with him for about an hour so I could have a much needed skype date with my good friend Jane. It's the only time of the week that worked for the two of us. I love skype! Anyhoo, I need to run & pick my little man up from the church so his daddy can get some work done.
