Beauty in the Busy

The months of February & March have been busy. Our little family has found itself always on the go. Our days filled with family, friends, and lots ministry.
At night we fall into bed, hug the other, share highlights from our days, talk over the hard parts, then doze off ready for the next day.
We are so thankful to be tired at the end of the day.
Thankful that we are surrounded with life that is ever changing.
Hard. Challenging. Beautiful. Full of grace and Jesus.

One thing that I've learned is that we have the choice if what we are busy with is going to matter, mean something in the long run. Or if we are going to be busy just for the sake of being busy. Lets make our busy beautiful, lets make it count.

The last month there have been lots of birthdays, weddings, laughs, tears, cheering students on in the middle of their life's battles, less & less sleep, praying, celebrating, traveling, baby toting, conferences, community, building friendships, retreats, and growing in the Lord.
Last week we took our students on a spring break trip that was simply incredible. The entire week we intentionally provided ample opportunity for students to spend time with the Lord. Opportunities for them to seek after God instead of us continually providing them with the word & worship all week. It was such a beautiful time with our students. To watch them grow in Christ. It was extra special because Johnny and I got married in the beautiful chapel there 5 years ago.

The month of March is still going strong with so many things going on. We have fine arts this weekend and then I'm going to Hope Spoken next weekend! I'm so ready to join 250 other women just like myself ready to grow in the Lord & build community. Woohoo!

HopeSpoken. A Link-Up

Today I'm excited to link up with all the wonderful ladies who will be attending the HopeSpoken conference in March. This link-up has some specific questions so here I go :)
Introduce myself: Hey, my name is Brittany & I'm married to this sweet man of mine, Johnny. We have two little ones, Noah & Olivia. They truly make my heart smile so big. I've loved the Lord for some time now. Everyday he continues to blow me away with his faithfulness in this journey of life. I'm a lady who loves to laugh with friends & family. Coffee is a lovely treat that I enjoy! I love to create. And over the last few years I've been soaking up everyday moments that are so sweet & lovely that at one time I would have passed up. life has helped me to see the great importance in them.
Something I'm a little nervous or timid about the weekend: Hmm... Honestly, I'm just really excited. Happy to get to see familiar faces from this community online and I'm so excited to see online friends in real life for a whole weekend that I usually don't get to see. Woohoo! I'm also looking forward to hearing the speakers at HopeSpoken, because they are women who have been encouraging & inspiring me for some time now.

Something you are hoping to take away from HopeSpoken: Growth. I want to be a believer who is always growing in the Lord. I value my one on one time with the Lord but I also love fellowship with other believers. Growing in Christ with other women. I'm looking forward to a weekend to break away from my normal routine to invest in myself spiritually.

Something fun/random about myself: something fun.. Part of my life life I grew up in Brenham, Texas which is where Blue Bell Ice Cream is made. And we all know Blue Bell is the BEST ice cream :) Yum!

I'm really looking forward to the conference. Excited to make new friends and to grow in the Lord. One more thing are any other mommas bringing their babies & husband? My littlest will be about 6.5 months old & nursing so my hubby is graciously coming with me to help with her. So I can still nurse & then she can spend time with him while I'm enjoying the conference :) Can't wait!
