Short Video. A Peek into Our Family Worship Time

A few weeks ago during an evening spent up at the church hanging out we decided to sing together. We handed Noah a mic too & upon his request to sing the "Uh-Oh song" I quickly put my mic down and started recording. So thankful I did. Noah is constantly singing We are The Free by Matt Redman. He enjoyed singing with his daddy. It melted this momma's heart.

This precious video of Noah singing his very favorite song with Johnny has been encouraging my heart the last few days. To be honest, this week has been on & off rough. Yuck. I wish that it wasn't so, but the truth is, my heart is struggling with grieving. I'm thankful that I'm allowing myself to work through it instead of pretending like my heart isn't still sad. I'm learning to let myself be emotional from time to time... because thats okay.

Yesterday, I posted the video on my facebook page & my mom sent me a sweet text. She said, "Brittany Noah is just like you at that age. You were constantly singing songs to Jesus." {This made my heart happy} She went on to tell me, "I know right now is hard, but it wont always be like this. Anytime you are feeling discouraged just look at your little boy & know that he loves the Lord. He has a heart to worship, let that make you so happy." Gosh, way to make me cry momma! Happy she was there to remind me. To speak truth into my life.

Even during the hard times of life, if we let him, the Lord still wants to show us beauty. Remind us of his goodness. The last few days have been rough but I know that pushing through now will bring joy.

Today, I am thankful for listening to the Holy Spirit at a time when I didn't quite understand what he was speaking to me - several months ago as he was preparing me for this season of life.

" Rejoice in the Lord and be glad...." Psalm 32:11

There is a phrase that a precious elderly woman from a church my parents pastored several years ago, would always say, "there is Victory in your worship". Friends, this is true. It has always proven true in my life.

  1. That's one of my favorite songs, too! I always get excited when we get to sing it in church. :)

I'll be praying for you. Praying for happy days, and for the Lord's comfort. We've had some things happen recently that I just don't understand, but I know He has a plan in all of this. Hugs to you, friend.
